Barbara Oldham has been a Community College Reference and Instruction Librarian for over 20 years, and I love my work. I received my Bachelor of Education from Washburn University and then decided to get my Masters in Library and Information Sciences from Emporia State University, both schools are in Kansas. When I was getting my Masters degree my class was the first class to get a "'distance education degree." I was raised in the Pacific Northwest, so when I was offered a job in Washington I jumped at the chance to move back to the the beautiful Pacific Norwest. I enjoy all the varied and beautiful places to go in the Northwest, from coastal to arid desert and everything in between, because in my spare time I ride my motorcycle all around the countryside.
