Students may log in to a virtual desktop from any computer or smart mobile device using either an app or their browser. Your virtual desktop gives you home and mobile access to the full WVC Windows desktop experience, including Microsoft Office products and the contents of your My Documents folders.
- If on your personal computer
- Visit http://mypc.wvc.edu
- Install the VMWare Horizon View Client for your operating system
- Restart your computer
- Run the program
- Enter the server name mypc.wvc.edu if asked
- Enter your WVC student email address and network password
- Make sure drop-down is set at STUDENT, not WVCADMIN
- Click Connect
- If on a computer that is not your own
- Visit http://mypc.wvc.edu
- Click the button for VMWare Horizon View HTML access
- Read the disclaimer and hit Accept
- Enter your WVC student email address and network password
- Make sure drop-down is set at STUDENT, not WVCADMIN
- Click Log In
- Optional: change your browser to Full Screen mode to increase your screen space
- If on a mobile device
- Search for and install the VMWare View app using your device’s app store
- Enter the server name mypc.wvc.edu if asked
- Enter your WVC student email address and network password
- Make sure drop-down is set at STUDENT, not WVCADMIN
- Tap connect

Reset your Password
Password Management
Note to Students: At the end of each quarter, your network password* (student email and virtual desktop) will expire. You will be required to reset it.
*Your Canvas and ctcLink credentials will not be affected.
Step 1: Easily reset your password or unlock your account
Step 2 (optional): Edit your *MFA security settings (Security questions, Alternate email, telephone)
*MFA is Multi-Factor Authentication. These settings allow you to reset your password and unlock your account without contacting the helpdesk.
