WVC Libraries maintain a wide collection of fiction and nonfiction books, textbooks, graphic novels, DVDs, Spanish language materials, and picture books for children. We also have a substantial collection of digital resources, and lend out media/digital equipment such as laptops, calculators, digital cameras, webcams and more.
Chargers, headphones, lap desks, and whiteboard markers are available for library-use only.
Looking for something else? Go ahead and ask--we just might have it!
Your photo ID is your library card.
To check out books, please present a physical ID card, such as your student ID or drivers license. (Your Costco card works too!)
For concerns about privacy, please refer to our Patron Privacy Policy.
A library account is automatically generated for all WVC students, faculty, and staff, who may borrow up to 15 items at a time (including books, DVDs, and electronics).
If we do not have it in our collection, ask us about Interlibrary Loan!
Members of the community may apply for a community borrower account, and check out up to 5 books or DVDs at a time.
Most library materials can be borrowed for the entire term, and will be due on the last day of finals week.
DVDs: 1 week
Course Reserves: variable, up to 7 days
Library-Use items: 2 hours
Please return library materials to the circulation desk or drop boxes provided at either library. You may return Interlibrary Loan materials the same way. Chromebooks should be returned directly to the circulation desk.
Returns are processed daily and will be promptly discharged from your account.
Patrons are expected to be responsible for materials that they have borrowed.
Natural wear and tear happens over time, but please do not tear, stain, crease, highlight, or otherwise degrade the condition of library materials. In case of an accident, do not attempt to repair the damaged item yourself, but bring it to library staff so that we may evaluate it for repair or replacement.
A replacement fee will be charged for lost items, which is refundable if the item is found and returned in good condition.
We do not assign late fees for overdue items, just replacement fees for lost or damaged materials.
Library fines show up on your student records, but they will not keep you from registering for classes--they only limit your ability to borrow more items from the library. These can be paid in the Cashier's Office on the first floor of Wenatchi Hall.
Once an item is returned in good condition--or replaced--the entire fine will be removed, and your borrowing privileges will be restored.
